One of the worst hotel stays I’ve had I was traveling to San Jose for a board meeting and chose this hotel because I expected a comfortable, convenient, and well-maintained stay. Unfortunately, the experience was anything but. The room was dirty and seriously outdated. The bottom of my socks turned brown from walking on the flooring, and there were visible cracks in the walls that made it clear the room had not been properly maintained. For a four-star hotel, this level of upkeep is simply unacceptable. The shower only had lukewarm water, but the biggest issue was the thermostat. It was clearly malfunctioning, and sometime during the night the room heated up to what felt like 90 degrees. I woke up around 2 a.m. sweating and uncomfortable. There was no way to open the window and no way to get adequate airflow, leaving me with one option: change rooms in the middle of the night. As a result, I got little to no sleep and had to go straight into an important board meeting the next day exhausted. What made the experience even more frustrating was the response from the hotel. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Secco! The service was truly outstanding from start to finish. Our server Lloyd was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Lloyd made sure everything was perfect and really went above and beyond to make our experience special. The level of service was exceptional — truly first-class. We were extremely impressed and will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

One of the best Hilton stays I’ve had in a long time, which was a great surprise! The location is excellent and makes it really easy to walk to tons of places downtown. The beds were SO comfortable — seriously some of the softest hotel beds I’ve had in a while. Another great surprise! The room was clean, the view was fun, and the lobby and bar areas were great for lounging. Front desk staff was also very friendly and made check-in easy. Would definitely recommend Hilton San Jose to anyone staying downtown and I know I’ll stay here again.
